2010 – GolfNet and Stracka/GolfQ/USHandicap merge to become the golf industry’s leading technology provider for handicap and tournament management software, golf course marketing, and golf community site technology. All the companies combined are now doing business as: GolfNet.

2010 – GolfNet launches new web-based tournament management software.

2010 – Stracka.com social site launches new features such as the “Luck-a” and “Snip Line” fantasy games, online attesting/peer-review, the vTour for virtual tournaments, and an iPhone App for score posting. Also, new partner programs include an open API for GPS devices and mobile apps, and a “white-label” solution for the community site.

2009 - GolfNet acquires EZLinks’ handicapping and tournament management software business to add another 8 associations and 650,000 golfers into the system, and further solidifies their position as the #2 handicap service provider. New customers include: Arizona Golf Association, Chicago District Golf Association, Louisiana Golf Association, Montana State Golf Association, Southern Illinois Golf Association, Southern Nevada Golf Association, and Utah Golf Association.

2009 - Stracka.com acquires ISaAC Scoring Systems (USHandicap.com), gains another 650,000+ golfers, and becomes the #1 online handicapping service in the United States.

2008 – Stracka.com acquires GolfNet. They are maintained as separate companies until 2010.

2008 – Stracka.com acquires GolfQ.com and adds the golf course marketing (promotions) engine and an additional 300,000+ golfers into the popular social site for golfers.

2008 - Stracka.com, the “social site for golfers” is founded in March. Handicap tracking and a golf course database are combined with a “Facebook-like” community interface. Features such as Fantasy Golf, the Swing Video Analyzer, and advanced statistics charting go “viral” and the site’s membership grows at record levels.

2007 - Golf Intelligence merges with GolfNet. The combination of these long standing businesses makes the new GolfNet the second largest provider of Golf Handicap and Tournament software in North America and continues to push the golf industry forward with innovative technology.

2006 - Golf Intelligence acquires Star Plan, further expanding the distribution of their products and services to Wisconsin State Golf Association and the Golf Association of Ontario.

2004 - ISaAC Scoring Systems (USHandicap.com) was founded in Houston, Texas, and provided valid USGA Handicap tracking through an online membership. They formed a partnership with Sport’s Illustrated’s Golf.com to further promote the service to millions of golfers.

2000 - Golf Intelligence was founded in Minneapolis, Minnesota and provided expanded services through a web-based model (NGN.com) to clients including the Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA) as well as to a number of non-traditional golf clubs including the Executive Women’s Golf Association, PGA Tour Partners Club, and Golf Galaxy.

2000- GolfNet moves corporate office from Bethesda, MD to Pinehurst, NC.

1999 – GolfQ.com is founded in Houston, Texas, providing golf course marketing promotion services to local courses (mostly in the Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta markets).

1987 - Star Plan Data Systems in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, develops the EAGLE handicapping system for the Wisconsin State Golf Association, the Golf Association of Michigan, the Malaysian Golf Association, and the Golf Association of Ontario.

1983 – GolfNet was founded as Sumner Inc. by Don ‘Dutch’ Stromberg in Bethesda, MD and provided handicap computation and tournament management software to golf associations and golf clubs including Delaware, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina and South Carolina.
